Speak Title: Emotion Meets Knowledge Management: A Kansei-inspired Framework

Abstract

In the evolving landscape of organizational learning and knowledge management, the integration of emotional intelligence and human-centric design has become essential for fostering innovation and resilience. “Emotion Meets Knowledge Management: A Kansei-inspired Framework” explores the intersection of emotion, knowledge management, and Kansei Engineering, a methodology that emphasizes the translation of human emotions and sensibilities into design and decision-making processes. By leveraging the principles of Kansei Engineering, organizations can create environments that resonate emotionally with their members, enhancing creativity, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. The keynote will elaborate how emotional and sensory experiences influence knowledge creation, dissemination, and utilization, while addressing the challenges of emotional exhaustion and disengagement in modern workplaces. Drawing on insights from Kansei Engineering, psychology, and organizational behavior, the keynote will propose practical strategies for integrating emotional and cognitive aspects of human experience into knowledge management systems. The talk aims not only to inspire leaders to adopt emotionally intelligent and human-centered approaches but also to set the stage for future research, serving as a foundational reference for exploring the interplay between emotion and knowledge management in an increasingly complex and dynamic world.
